Photo Hunters : Architecture

" Everyone stays in Budapest longer than planned, Romans for 400 years, Ottomans for 150 years, Soviets for 45 years, .... "
See the architecture of our beautiful capital, Budapest

Ps. Cooking day for me...have to go, read your blogs later :)

You can see the Roman influence in the straight lines of the roads, we have many similar here.

I always wonder if they ever found walking the straight lines whilst supposedly being faster seemed to take longer. Give me bends any day.

I keep nagging my brother to get out and use his digital camera and send the pictures to me. He lives in Vienna and performs all over Europe. I know he has done an opera in Budapest. Great photos for today.

I love today's theme: I am learning so much as I travel around the world from my chair. At least each invader of Budapest stayed fewer years than the previous one. The architecture is magnificent!
